#Fittingroomfridays: Its a White Out with Obermeyer & Kjous

Happy Friday everyone!  I figured I’d try to do one more #fittingroomfridays showing winter and ski gear before we transition into Spring.

It’s a white out!  So there are pros and cons to white in winter. Pro: In my opinion it always looks super chic and definitely stands out. It’s a classic for sure!  Cons: we all know white gets dirty super easy!  Make up, kids, food, you name it. However that’s what bleach is for right lol.

Soooo, I went to boyne country sports and I was still gravitating to that shiny blue Skea limited jacket from last time with the cute fur hood, but I wanted to show you guys something different and I’ve had a few people ask about snowpants so I wanted to feature those too.

First up was the all white Obermeyer look. This was my favorite of the night.  The jacket is an Obermeyer Klaus O fusion stretch series. I tried on a size 8 which was just right.  maybe a titch big but not big  enough to size down. It had all the really nice ski features inside the jacket as well as this amazingly soft thumb hole layer that was all silver glitter. So bonus points for the glitter!! Honestly it was really pretty and really well done. That was my favorite detail along with the silver zipper up the arm. It retails for $549 at Boyne country sports. Now… there were a few snow pant options but I chose the Malta pant by Obermeyer. Again I tried a size 8 which fit perfect. So I would say they’re pretty true to size. Obermeyer also carries Longs for you tall girls. They were pretty fitted through the legs with a little flare at the bottom and the quality of the material was really nice. These retail for $149.00. I thought the all white was sharp but what’s nice about white is that you can mix and match with anything.

Next up was the Kjus white with navy jacket and white snow pants. So Kjus, pronounced Shu-ss is a brand that was developed by an Olympic alpine skier. This is clearly a high end brand and while The snow pants felt amazing to the touch, the sizing was more European and apparently I was NOT a size 38. The 38 is probably more of a 4-6US. If I could’ve gotten them buttoned I’m sure they would’ve been really nice lol. The jacket fell a little short for me though. It felt a little more boxy and stiff compared to the Obermeyer one. The thumb hole material wasn’t as soft or stretchy. And I just didn’t think it was as flattering overall. The jacket retails for $899.00 and the snow pants were $549.00.

Last but not least, I couldn’t leave with out trying on a couple of pieces from my new favorite collection Alpnrock. The white vest was really cute and warm. And the black Moto jacket with the side zipper was really cute too. This was a little snug because they only had a small but I love that side zipper detail. Super cute!  I was a fan of both of these pieces!  Both the Alpnrock pieces would be cute to have as we transition into spring as well or if you’re heading out west for spring break.

I hope you enjoyed this installment of #fittingroomfridays comment if you have questions or ideas on what I should try on next. visit https://boynecountrysports.com/pages/grand-rapids for all these fun looks and more.
